Dry skin during winter! Right way to moisture and peel!
We are in the middle of winter now.
The temperature usually goes below 0℃
and piercing wind is blowing.
Due to cold and dry air during winter, our
skin becomes dry and sensitive which can also lead to various skin diseases
such as fine wrinkles or psoriasis.
Many people especially suffer from stiff feeling
on their skin due to severe dryness with flake formation.
Contrastively, some people experience oily
skin due to excessive sebum excretion.
There are many people who feel itchy and
stiff on their face due to dry and cold weather and people usually think that
these will get better if they apply moisturizing cream.
However, this is only temporary solution
which doesn’t improve on our inner skin when we apply moisturizer on areas
where flakes are formed.
Thus we have to peel our skin regularly to
prevent waste collection and flake formation on our skin.
However, peeling is not a solution that
could calm our skin down. The most important thing is to moisturize our skin
after peeling to moisture our inner skin as well when we apply moisturizers.
When your skin feels itchy, stiff or oily,
the actual cause is lack of moisture because our skin excretes more sebum to
protect itself when there is less moisture.
Firstly, we will have a look at different
peeling methods for different skin types.
1. Oily skin
As this skin is thick and excretes much
sebum, it is ideal to use scrubs by gently rolling on the skin. Scrub products
are helpful to remove dead skin cells located deep inside our skin, but these
products can strongly irritate the skin.
2. Neutral skin
People with neutral skin can have dry or
oily skin according to the weather or their health condition. It is ideal to
use gel typed peeling products without solid scrub particle.
3. Dry skin
It is ideal to avoid on using peeling
products if you have dry skin as your skin could become even drier. However if
you have to peel your skin, it is ideal to use gel typed products.
4. Sensitive skin
People with sensitive skin can get side
effects from using peeling products. Thus it is ideal to not use peeling
product or minimize on the usage of peeling product when you have to use it. You
must stop using the product if you feel stinging pain or redness appears.
Many people get skin care to sedate their
skin with problems caused by dead skin cells or to calm down on their sensitive
skin.
However there are some people who think
skin care is too much for them. Thus number of people who prefer home skin care
has increased.
This led to the production of various
peeling products; however this can make our skin even more sensitive and dry if
we don’t use them properly.
The most important thing is to moisturize
our skin after using peeling product. There are some people who say that oil is
more effective than moisturizer, however you have to use these products after
considering your skin type as there are some skin types that oil is not
effective.
