Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic participates in JATA International Travel Fair to spread Korean medical tourism

Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic attended the 'JATA World Travel Expo' held in Tokyo, Japan. The Korean Tourism Association along with 12 local government and 27 tourism institutions also attended. The theme of the event was "Korea, a good neighbor" with Korea-Japan exchange messages expressing positive Korea-Japan relations.

The main themes of the fair were Korean Wave, Korean food, and Korean medical services (beauty) were aggressively promoted. Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic attended as the representative of Korean medical (beauty) tours.

According to a clinic spokesman, "many Japanese visit Korea for tours but also for semi permanent makeup, skin care, and traditional Chinese medicine treatments. In addition, many Japanese revisit for additional skincare and other 'touch up' treatments. We believe that we will be able to promote these services successfully through this travel fair."

Representative Park Wonjin of Wonjin Plastic Surgery Clinic added, "since Japan already has advanced aesthetic techniques, not many Japanese prefer to get plastic surgeries. Instead, they opt for quick treatments including permanent makeup and skincare treatments. That is why these treatments are popular for Japanese traveling on a short schedule. We believe that we can greatly share Korea's advanced state of aesthetic medical techniques at this travel expo."

A member of the Korean Tourism Association noted, "during the fair, we believe cultural exchanges between countries will promote Korea as a whole. Especially for the medical tourism sector, not only Japanese but visitors from Mongolia, Turkey, and even Russia are interested in visiting Korea."
