Bulbous and Blunt Nose Surgery, the correct method of operation according to different type of nose

‘Bulbous nose’ is term patients often use to describe a ‘ball’ on the end of their nose. The tips of your nose are blunt and flat, giving you an unsophisticated impression. The nose is also located in the center of the face, which further controls the most of your impression. A nose job alone makes a big impression; so many people are considering doing rhinoplasty.

There are three different surgical methods for bulbous and blunt nose surgery.

Other case of a blunt nose type is ‘spread-out nasal tip cartilage’. Nasal cartilage is trimmed then both trimmed sides are sutured together. It naturally raises the nasal septum to create a slimmer tip.

Another case of a blunt nose type is ‘Excessive fat deposits and thick skin’. Subcutaneous fats and skin tissues are excised before raising the nose tip. In the case where nasal bridge augmentation surgery is to be performed together, ear or septal cartilage are engrafted on the nose tip for a smooth and refined nasal slope.

Just insert silicone implant to make enlarged nose bridge is not a solution for blunt nose. If you not fix on a narrow nose tip, it may lead to reoperation due to dissatisfaction with the previous operation. Therefore, it is important to approach the surgery appropriate to the patient.

For satisfactory results, a plastic surgeon with a high degree of understanding of preoperative a nose surgery should plan the surgery to improve personalized design and drawbacks considering height, shape, and line...etc. In addition, it is important to carefully check whether the safety system of the hospital is established, and whether the postoperative care after inflammation and hematoma or the side effect is systematically arranged. The patient himself/herself should strictly observe the precautions of the hospital because alcohol and smoking can heal the wound slowly and increase the risk of infection.
